Activity details

This adventure takes you south from the port of Invergordon, through scenic locations, pivotal in Scottish & local history.

  • Visiting the Neolithic Clava Cairns (30 minutes)
  • Culloden Battlefield (1 hour)
  • The shores of the famous Loch Ness (30 minutes)
  • Inverness the Capital of the Highlands, (2 hours 30 minutes) Here you have free time where you can vist attractions such as;
  • the Inverness Castle experience
  • Inverness Cathedral
  • the Uilebheist Distillery and Brewery, or a
  • leisurely stroll around the city centre, sample some local hospitality and retail therapy.

What's included

  • A maximum of either 19 or 29 guests,  in one of our Executive Luxury Midi Coaches. No large crowds and a personal experience.

What's not included

  • Entrance fees to any attractions.

Itinerary

We head south from Invergordon Port, enjoying the amazing scenery, with stories and history of the area.

  • First stop will be at Clava Cairns, A neolithic site, as featured in Outlander, with its chambered tombs and standing stones, absorbing its unique ambiance.
  • We then visit Culloden Battlefield, a poignant and pivotal moment in Scottish history! The end of Bonnie Prince Charlie, and his predecessors, attempt to claim the throne.
  • Moving on to the famous Loch Ness we visit an area where you can touch its waters or even step in it. Just watch out for Nessie!
  • We then visit Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, where you can spend some free time, visiting some of the city attractions, enjoying retail therapy or indulge in sampling some highland hospitality!
  • Time permitting, we will travel through the villages of Beauly and the Norse parliamentary town of Dingwall, on our return to Invergordon, arriving at least an hour before your ship departure time.

Check-in details

Please arrive 15 minutes early, we depart promptly at the scheduled time. You'll receive a QR code with your confirmation email that we will scan to check you in, so bring your phone!

Pick up time will be confirmed following your booking, due to varied ship docking times. 8am departure for docking prior to this time. 8.30am for 8am dockings and 9.30am for 9am dockings. We aim to maximise that time you have on your day.

Cancellations

Full refund with 7 days notice or 24 hours notice in the case of extreme weather.
