Departing the City of Inverness at a specified time and location this tour will take you deep into the heart of the Sutherland County.

Crossing the fertile lands of the Black Isle we will travel adjacent to the Cromarty Firth, cross over the Struie Hill and stop off at the Millionaires View. From here you can enjoy the majestic views overlooking the heart of Sutherland, including Lairg, Bonar Bridge, the Sutherland Straths, to the famous town of Dornoch and the Dornoch Firth.

We will then continue through the villages of Ardgay and Bonar Bridge to Shin Falls, over which migratory Salmon will make their way to their breeding grounds. Thereafter we will travel through the village of Lairg on our way to Dunrobin Castle, historic ancestral home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland since the 13th century. You will get an opportunity to explore this fantastic location with its extensive kept gardens. You can watch the incredible falconry show, between an experienced and dedicated falconer and his fine wild birds, which is always a popular attraction.

We will then make our way to one of the nearby distilleries where you can experience Uisge Beatha (The Water of Life) sometimes known as Whiskey! And its traditional manufacturing processes.

The tour will then start to make its way back towards Inverness travelling onto the lovely village of Beauly. Here you will get an opportunity to visit some of the traditional village shops and the remains of the Beauly Priory founded in Scotland about 1230 for monks of the Valliscaulian order.

We will then travel adjacent to the Moray Firth returning to Inverness where we complete our day.
